Choosing the Right HVAC System for the San Antonio Climate
Making the right choice for your new HVAC system involves several key factors. We guide you through each one to ensure your investment delivers lasting comfort, efficiency, and safety.
Key Technical Considerations
Energy Efficiency (SEER Rating): We help you select a system with a high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating. This is essential for managing our hot summers effectively and can significantly lower your monthly energy bills.
Correct System Sizing: A properly sized unit is critical for performance. We conduct a detailed home assessment to ensure your new system is perfectly matched to your space, preventing issues with energy waste and inconsistent temperatures.
Compliance and Safety Standards
Full Permit Management: As your hvac installation company, we handle the entire permitting process with the San Antonio Development Services Department. This protects you from potential compliance issues and ensures the project proceeds smoothly.

9 Signs You Need to Replace Your HVAC Equipment
Over time, HVAC equipment naturally wears out and loses efficiency, especially as it nears the end of its expected lifespan. While regular maintenance can stretch out your system’s performance, eventually repairs become less practical and replacement is the most cost-effective solution. Choosing a reputable hvac replacement company in San Antonio can help you avoid repeat issues and get improved comfort and reliability for your home.
San Antonio’s weather features hot, humid summers and occasional cool snaps, which puts strain on residential HVAC systems. Prolonged high demand during peak temperature months can hasten system wear and raise energy bills. If your system no longer keeps up or your utility costs keep rising, it’s important to consult an experienced hvac replacement company that residents trust. We’ll take a close look at your utility usage and comfort concerns and guide you in comparing ongoing repair costs to the long-term benefits of installation or replacement for local homes.
Warning signs you may need to replace your HVAC equipment include:
- Old age - As units age, they often become inefficient and prone to breakdowns.
- Frequent repairs – Frequent, costly repairs are a sign that your system is on its way out the door.
- Rising energy bills - A sudden increase in energy costs could indicate that your system is working harder than necessary due to age or inefficiency.
- Inconsistent temperatures - If your HVAC system can’t maintain a consistent temperature or fails to heat or cool your home properly, it’s no longer functioning effectively.

-
What is the life expectancy of my unit?Dependable Trane products are among the longest lasting heating and cooling products available. For your specific equipment, there are many variables that affect life expectancy, including, of course, the regularity of routine maintenance.
-
What does my warranty cover?Under the standard factory warranty, Trane covers parts that fail during the warranty period due to defect in the part. The warranty does not cover labor. A warranty certificate was included with your homeowner information packet, and is specific to the model numbers, serial numbers and installation dates of your products. All Trane equipment that we install is registered with Trane Corporation to ensure your 10 year parts warranty. If you cannot find your warranty certificate, Climate Control Heating & Air will also be able to provide you with that information. With a Climate Control Heating & Air Total Comfort Plan, you'll have a ten year parts and labor warranty on your Trane equipment.
-
Which Trane equipment will best fit my home? There are many factors that affect the sizing and specifications of your system, including square footage, insulation, window surface and configuration, geographic location of your home, duct sizing and arrangement, and many others. Climate Control Heating & Air can perform an in-home load analysis to determine which equipment combinations will perfectly suit your home and your family's needs. Depending upon the construction of your home, one (1) ton of air conditioning can cool anywhere from 300 to 800 square feet of home. The only way to ensure the size of the system you purchase will be large enough to heat or cool your home, but not any larger than you need, is to have your home's individual heating and cooling needs evaluated by a licensed professional.
-
Where can I get parts for my Trane equipment? As a Trane dealer, Climate Control Heating & Air is the best resource for identifying and supplying the correct, current parts for your system, as well as pricing and availability.
