HVAC Maintenance for AC & Furnace in San Antonio, TX & Surrounding Areas
Understanding the Importance of Regular HVAC Maintenance
In San Antonio, where summer temperatures often soar, having an efficient HVAC system isn't just a luxury—it's a necessity. Regular maintenance can significantly improve your system's efficiency and reliability, ensuring comfort is maintained even on the hottest days. Scheduled tune-ups help prevent sudden breakdowns and costly repair bills, offering peace of mind throughout the year.
Moreover, regular maintenance tailored to the San Antonio climate effectively enhances your home's energy efficiency. By keeping components clean and calibrated, your HVAC system can operate with less power, reducing energy bills and minimizing your carbon footprint.
We all know it's important, but most people don't have the time to keep track of routine HVAC maintenance. Fortunately, Climate Control has you covered with convenient preventive service agreements and scheduled single system tune-ups.
What to Expect During Furnace & AC Maintenance Visits
Regular AC maintenance is meant to prevent equipment failures and keep your system operating as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Our experienced maintenance technicians begin service visits by conducting a thorough visual inspection. This allows us to assess the overall health of your HVAC system and identify parts that may require repair or replacement. The rest of the process depends on the type of system being serviced, but typical tasks include:
- Checking and replacing air filters
- Testing electrical connections and safety controls
- Cleaning coils, burners, drain lines, and other components
- Checking for strong and balanced airflow
- Cleaning and lubricating mechanical parts
- Calibrating thermostat controls
In San Antonio, our climate poses unique challenges. The extreme heat during summer and cooler winter nights require that HVAC systems are always in good condition. Regular maintenance helps mitigate these conditions by ensuring your system is operating optimally. Our service excels in identifying potential breakdowns before they happen, especially important during peak seasons.

What is the life expectancy of my unit?Dependable Trane products are among the longest lasting heating and cooling products available. For your specific equipment, there are many variables that affect life expectancy, including, of course, the regularity of routine maintenance.
-
What does my warranty cover?Under the standard factory warranty, Trane covers parts that fail during the warranty period due to defect in the part. The warranty does not cover labor. A warranty certificate was included with your homeowner information packet, and is specific to the model numbers, serial numbers and installation dates of your products. All Trane equipment that we install is registered with Trane Corporation to ensure your 10 year parts warranty. If you cannot find your warranty certificate, Climate Control Heating & Air will also be able to provide you with that information. With a Climate Control Heating & Air Total Comfort Plan, you'll have a ten year parts and labor warranty on your Trane equipment.
-
Which Trane equipment will best fit my home? There are many factors that affect the sizing and specifications of your system, including square footage, insulation, window surface and configuration, geographic location of your home, duct sizing and arrangement, and many others. Climate Control Heating & Air can perform an in-home load analysis to determine which equipment combinations will perfectly suit your home and your family's needs. Depending upon the construction of your home, one (1) ton of air conditioning can cool anywhere from 300 to 800 square feet of home. The only way to ensure the size of the system you purchase will be large enough to heat or cool your home, but not any larger than you need, is to have your home's individual heating and cooling needs evaluated by a licensed professional.
-
Where can I get parts for my Trane equipment? As a Trane dealer, Climate Control Heating & Air is the best resource for identifying and supplying the correct, current parts for your system, as well as pricing and availability.
